Januar 2020 - Turtle Road
Since eternal times I absolutely wanted to see some cities on the old silk road, I had the dream pictures of Samarkand and Bukhara, 1001 nights, in my head, I also wanted to see Tasckent as a socialist counterpoint ... ... The driver was a devil guy, like to overtake on the highway on the right on the unpaved verge, his English vocabulary rather modest, but, on the country road in Nirvana, about 200 km from Samarkand, on the way to the mountain village of Sentyab, the guy was suddenly beside himself, always pointing the road and called "turtle". I could see nothing at all and asked him to stop after a while. The place was teeming with turtles, one every few meters, obviously on the way to the nearby lake. The driver knew this, of course, but for the inexperienced eye the "turtle" was difficult to see because structure and color were very similar to the street.

An old lamp in the Carlshütte in Rendsburg, today a museum, up to 1997 a cast iron factory . Main product for a lot of years was the cast iron bath.

May 2010 - Heracleum
Coming from the Kaukasus this plant was spread all over Europe since 1800. The milk of this plant is more or less malicious, but nevertheless it is a wonderful ornamental plant.

April 2010 - Tree in Pushkar
Pushkar is a wonderful small village in Rajasthan (North India), located on the fringes of the desert. Because of its holy lake, which was created by Brahma himself by a falling lotus blossom, it is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites in India.
The Photo was taken in 1985, when Pushkar was back then a place for freaks, only few people traveled there in January 1985. Nowadays the village has unfortunately fallen victim to mass tourism, but as usual in some hundred meters off the beaten tracks you are on your own.
