Gluecksburg
A photographic promenade between past and present
As a Gluecksburg resident by choice, I would like to present impressions from the last 20 years. I´d like to show how fast changes take place, which things endured and how beautiful Gluecksburg is.
See how the Hotel Ruhetal looked. Nowadays the Parklinik is located in this place. Today it is the Strandhotel, almost hundred years ago it was built as the Kurhaus, in between it was used as the Matthias-Claudius-Heim, a mother and child sanatorium, for fifty years.
Marvel at the florescence of the rapeseed in Angeln, the cotton grass on the Elfenwiese and the kite surfers in Holnis.
The walk will end with the reflection on the city's coat of arms and a fireworks over the Foerde.
